Writing Portfolio: Websites
I have worked with a number of web designers over the years. One designer I worked with quite a bit was Cornerstone Web Design. My work at Cornerstone included interviewing clients, doing research into their industry, parsing out what made their business unique, and then writing content for the entirety of their website. My goal was always to create a cohesion of branding and SEO, ensuring the client’s voice came through so that any customer utilizing the website would have a seamless experience. In many cases, this included collecting technical information and creating content that a layperson or industry buyer could understand. I worked with both the client and web design team to ensure that the text fit the overall design and communicated the key elements necessary to get a client to click “buy” or “schedule.”
